The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Canine Program is the nation’s premier passenger screening canine program, dedicated to advancing TSA’s mission of protecting the nation’s transportation systems. Through the deployment of highly trained Passenger Screening Canine (PSC) teams across airports and transportation hubs nationwide, the program provides critical explosives detection capabilities, visible deterrence, and rapid, mobile response to evolving security threats.
Volunteer decoy role players are an essential part of this mission. By volunteering your time, you help provide our K9 teams with realistic, real-world training scenarios that allow for honest evaluation of their efficiency, readiness, and effectiveness. Your participation directly contributes to the continuous improvement of our canine teams and strengthens TSA’s ability to safeguard the traveling public.
As a volunteer, you will assist TSA K9 teams during structured training exercises—helping our canine partners sharpen their skills while gaining a rare, behind-the-scenes look at one of the most dynamic security programs in the nation.
